Postling’s Friday Finds — March 18, 2011
Every Friday the Postling team brings you the things we loved from the past week. From music and movies, to food and the world at large, we’ll put it all here.
Today is Friday, Tomorrow Will be Saturday
Holy internet sensation. Rebecca Black’s painful to listen to, but hilarious to watch, video for “Friday” is literally taking the internet by storm. With almost 17 million (yes, million) views on YouTube, spoofs in musical and meme form, and call outs from famous comediens (we’re talking about you, Daniel Tosh) this video couldn’t be bigger. Please pay special attention to Rebecca’s friends dancing in the car. It’s priceless.
Flickr Group Encourages Donations for Japan

Spearheaded by photographer Hideaki Hamada there is now a Flickr group that encourages members to post a photo with the words “Please Donate for Japan Earthquake” to spread the word about the relief efforts. The group is closing in on 1,000 members. Any Flickr member can join, and we encourage everyone to participate — whether it’s joining this group or donating to the various relief efforts out there.
