Facebook’s New Real-Time Analytics and How it Can Help You

We’ve mentioned several times the importance of being active on Facebook and how Facebook Insights can help provide you will valuable information on customer engagement. Well the all-power site just updated their analytics… and it’s only going to help you.

First off, let’s get started by going to Facebook Insights. When you look at the initial overview for your Facebook page you’ll be able to see, at a glance, your basic user and interaction statistics. This page will allow you to see if you’ve improved on likes, increased your engagement levels, and so on.

By clicking the “Users” tab on the left you can dive deeper into this section of analytics. You’ll be able to analyze how many views your Facebook page received over time, observe trends, and most importantly, see demographic statistics. That’s the best part! All that information Facebook knows about its users? Those are all things they can use to inform you of your audience! You can see age and location breakdowns in addition to seeing what type of posts (text, video, etc.) produce the highest engagement levels.

Diving into the “Interactions” tab on the left-hand navigation allows you to see which specific posts of yours have the highest engagement rate. This is such a powerful tool as you can easily see trends between even your top 10 posts, see what’s working best, and replicate those strategies.
